"Lucifer" season 2 has returned from the midseason break with episode 12 titled "Love Handles." Lucifer and Chloe probe into a mass poisoning of college students by a killer who hides his/her identity through a mask. The gender of the culprit cannot be identified because of the face cover.

Lucifer noticed that Chloe's behavior changed. He talked to his mother Charlotte about kissing Chloe but was not sure whether she really likes him or not.
It can be recalled in the previous episode titled "Stewardess Interruptus" that Charlotte was convincing Chloe to have a relationship with her son. But Chloe wondered because it was obvious that she does not want her (Chloe) for her Lucifer. Charlotte's motive is revealed that she has seen in Chloe the possible way that her son can be brought back to Hell. Aside from her son, Charlotte also wants to do away with Chloe.
Furthermore, Charlotte shared with Maze in episode 12 that she thinks God uses Lauren German's character to cross Lucifer's path. In later episodes, Maze will be fighting with the lead character from Hell.
Lucifer season 2 episode 12 has a bevy of guests that includes Scott Patey as Matthew, April Grace as Dr. Scott, Alex Pangburn as Timmy, Mike Doyle as Bradley, Max Chadburn as Ashely, Merren McMahaon as Amber, and Tim DeKay as Professor. Episode 12 titled "Love Handles" will air on January 23.
