Just last week, OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T received an Android 7.0 Nougat-based OxygenOS 4.0 update.  Users are getting another update, and this time, they are receiving an incremental OxygenOS 4.0.1 on their devices.

Compared to OxygenOS 4.0, the latest update makes the proximity sensor more reliable during calls, improves system stability and updates the APN settings for a number of carriers, Betanews reported.

According to Gadgets 360, although the new update brings fixes to a lot of critical bug fixes and improvements, it has some known issues, such as a Google Play download issue, and provides some manual workaround measures to fix it.

For known issues, OnePlus advised users that apps might not download from Play Store. Also, if you are trying to download via Data Roaming, it will not work. This is a known Google issue. OnePlus advised to follow Google's troubleshooting steps and see if the problem is resolved.

Users can also try to turn on Battery Saving Mode and reset Play Store app preferences.  If you have installed Truecaller, AVG Antivirus and PayTm, try to force stop or uninstall them before performing a download from Play Store.

If mobile data issues caused by APN persist, go to go to APN settings page and manually choose to try all the options. In the case that mobile data is still unusable, please send me a pm along with affected career and device model.

The OxygenOS 4.0.1 update for OnePlus 3T and OnePlus 3 is being pushed out OTA and will reach users in th coming days.  The "incremental rollout" implies that it will be rolled out in batches, and only a few users will receive it on the first day.   Experts say that the update should be done with a strong Wi-Fi connection and good battery.
