The December update for the mobile hit "Clash of Clans" has gotten bigger than ever, introducing tons of gameplay balancing changes and new content to fiddle with. Here are some of the most recent addition to the game that avid players need to take note of now.

First off, the latest addition to the game according to All Clash is the lightning spell. This has the ability to put any opposing force's tower that carries explosives, inflicting 900 damage points. The Ice Wizard unit spell is also a part of the gift, where players get to storm enemy villages with.

However, it is worth noting that the damage inflicted by these spells are also based from the player's town hall level. The higher they are, the better the damage output and vice versa.

Based from Oigel's report, however, the gift-giving event will only be available in a very limited time. This, however, means that everyone will enjoy the buffs that the game will provide players. The final day of the gift giving is to last until tomorrow.

However, the cards received by players will still be usable until Jan. 5 next year. Players are highly advised to take advantage of the perks of using the spells as it will be removed and possibly, be replaced in the January update.

While the event is active, players can also take advantage of the Clan Donations and Value Packs. These items have increased five times their normal amounts while being under the same price. Buying gems also nabs other clanmates up to 100 gems and this can be distributed within 20 other clan members.

On top of these, some changes also include troop recharge, training discounts and even in-game balancing. Christmas have also started spawning randomly on several players' Town Halls. Destroying these will grant players 50,000 gold, but not touching them lets players keep them forever. Some may opt to keep this one as this would be the last time that SuperCell will give this particular item.
