Square Enix's ironically named massive franchise "Final Fantasy" has been one of the cornerstones of RPG makers. Regardless of its ironic name, the series has reached 15 instalments, excluding spin-offs and other games derived from the title.

Unlike all other installments in the series, Final Fantasy XIV is the only MMORPG in the instalment. Released on August 27, 2013, the game doesn't revolve on a single player, but it sets the player on the expansive world of Final Fantasy.

The game's most recent playable expansion is Heavensward which added three new classes; Dark Knight, Machinist, and Astrologian. It also increased the level cap to 60, and players get to access new flying mounts.

Stormblood was officially announced to be released in June 20, 2017. Players can pre-order the game as early as January 24, 2017.

Players who pre-order the game will get a Stormblood art book, a high quality Zenos figure, a Wind-up Bartz Minion. They would also get in-game items, and the Red Mage Main Arm: Chicken Knife.

The new Final Fantasy XIV expansion now offers the Red Mage as a playable class. This iconic class has bene prevalent throughout all Final Fantasy games, as it is a mix of both a black mage and a white mage.

Final Fantasy XIV's version of the red mage is the same, but adds melee attacks to their chain of spells. The class is available at level 50 and has no associated class.

The new update also features two new raids named "A Return to Ivalice" and another raid to be revealed. Players can now dive and an underwater feature has been revealed in the game.

Characters can now be levelled up to 70 from the previous 60. As the update is  approaching, players are gearing up and levelling their characters to face the new challenges.
