Many voters bashed US President Elect Donald Trump for taking a break from his administrative transition period for Christmas. Spending his vacation in his Trump resort Mar-a-Lago in Florida, aides and advisers surround him and his family advising him about situations in Syria, terrorism, economic outcomes of certain political movements and others -- reminding him that he is still the president even during his vacations.

According to The Wall Street Journal, US President Elect Donald Trump should be prepared for public scrutiny -- even from his supporters -- every time he gets a vacation. Contributor Tevi Troy offers his opinion that Trump should understand the president is always on call and that an absence from the White House "can create complications for the administration.

In an interview with Fox Business, incoming White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer said US President Elect Donald Trump will make "America great again" even if it means working around the clock. He said in his statement that Trump could not "sit still" and that Trump is "so eager to get things done and change things up."

Spicer added that before he assumes office, Trump will be "teeing up for a round of golf" with his friend PGA Superstar Tiger Woods. Spicer affirms The Wall Street Journal's statement that during his Mar-a-Lago vacation he would be "briefed daily by a staff on national security and other issues [including] staffing requirements."

Any presidential vacation is no true escape from the reality of being surrounded by aides and advisers. In 2011, his aides and advisers also surrounded US President Barack Obama as he dealt with the US' issues then with the stock market fluctuations and the high 9% US unemployment rate. And before he left, congressional Republicans had criticized him for prioritizing his vacation while there is immense work to do.
