Some celebrities are major goals and people would usually dream of what it's like to be a successful celebrity. Little did they know that some of the celebrities that they have always been jealous of had unpleasant past that people definitely do not want to experience.

One of the highly known celebrities that were badly beaten is Rihanna. The "Work" hit-maker was abused and beaten by her ex-boyfriend, Chris Brown, back in 2009 to the point that the singer had to be hospitalized after the beating. Reports say that Chris Brown even threatened to kill her former girlfriend and strangled her.

Oprah Winfrey, a well-known host that everybody loves, had been through hell back and forth when she was a child. The talk show host revealed that she was abused, molested and beaten regularly when she was only nine years old. Winfrey told that she had a lot of whipping back then that her back would bleed and then she would get whipped again because of the blood that was staining her clothes.

The Dailymail once published that Christina Aguilera experienced a lot of unpleasant things as a child, all because of her father that would violently abuse her. The singer explained that what she went through made her fall in love with music and that music became her only getaway.

At the age of 16 or 17, she was molested by her mother's third husband. Ellen DeGeneres, one of the most popular talk-show host; once opened up about having to sleep in a hospital the whole night. Not because she was sick or something, but because her step-father tried to break into her room (tried to break down her room's door) and got lucky enough to escape through her bedroom window.

Madonna's former husband, Sean Penn, was allegedly reported to have been beating and abusing Madonna. Reports say that Penn would usually tie her up and beat her with a baseball bat. Years later, the songwriter claimed that the reports were untrue.
