Sailing across the luxurious cruise ship is a romantic way to relax with your loved ones. The clear sky glittering in the crystal waters, you can see nothing but beauty and flawlessness. The sumptuous dinner, the stunning staircase, the royalty treatment; with all the beautiful things combined, who can't resist to extent a week-long cruise?

But as they said "nothing is perfect," this phrase also applies even to the most extravagant one. Here are some of the "not-so-perfect" things that you should know about the cruise living.

1. Waste doesn't come easy

If you're sailing for a week with hundreds of tourists and crews on board, where do you think the waste product of your superb dinner, unlimited drinks and a dozen desserts crumbling down in your stomach go? Yes, I guess you thought it right!

Recognized as "blackwater" in the shipping industry, the feces and urine is treated to eliminate moisture and it gets dumped into the ocean.

2. Crew speaks in code

Ship crews have their unique way to communicate. Announcing shorthand codes from oil spills, security threat and medical emergencies are being practiced to avoid alarming its guest. Some of the codes are:

Code Red- outbreak of norovirus or illness

Papa - Pollution or oil spill

Delta - Damage to the ship

Star Code - Medical emergency

Sierra - Call for a stretcher

3. No lifeguards on board

Huge swimming pools attract a lot of visitors journeying in a ship but there are several drownings or near-drownings that have been reported because most of the ships have no lifeguard.

4. Code Red

You read the signal code, right? You can also have disease within a luxurious ship, one is called Norovirus. It is an infection that is characterized by nausea, watery diarrhea, abdominal pain and vomiting.

5. Operation Rising Star

Another code to remember when cruising is "Operation Rising Star," it means that someone has passed away.

Did you know that there's a morgue inside that ship? The morgue includes refrigerated storage space to keep up to three bodies from decomposing until they reach the port.

6. Wi-fi, high-fi

Wi-Fi prices are pretty high but with limited reach. If you want to go online, wait for the next port days. And choose the place with free internet.
