Azealia Banks wrote an emotional apology letter to Zayn Malik. This comes six months later after she slammed Malik on Twitter earlier this year.

US Weekly said that the 25-year-old rapper is sorry for the tirade homophobic and racist tweets against Malik, back in May.

"Dude, I make better music than you. Simmer down with that fake white boy rebellion and that wannabe beiber swag," she tweeted, adding, "Lol u a bitch n--ga for even responding like that. Keep sucking this yung rapunxel d--k u hairy curry scented bitch."

In reply, Malik said, "@AZEALIABANKS why you been saying nasty things about me? I wasn't talking about you lol."

US Weekly added that the "212" singer said in her apology letter, "There are no words that can fully express how sorry I am. Recent events have taught me the importance of taking accountability for one's actions. I want and need to say I am sorry, I was wrong."

She also told the "Pillowtalk" singer that she shouldn't lashed out at him even though she has experienced discrimination 'as a black woman'.

"At times, I am so consumed by my own struggle, and the struggle of my race, that I forget to consider the hardships other minorities continue to endure," Banks explained.

"Coming from an ethnicity that is largely discriminated against does not warrant a license to use derogatory, abusive terminology nor does it give me the right to make hurtful remarks. I apologize not only to you, Zayn, but to all those I hurt and offended. I am not cruel, nor am I heartless or vindictive. There is a lot of love in my heart and there is good in my soul. What I did was wrong and I am committed to being a better person."

She also asked for forgiveness. "Throughout my transgressions you remained a gentleman and I applaud you for displaying class and maintaining a level head. The world can learn a lot from you and I hope you find room in your heart to accept my sincerest apologies."

Daily Mail said that Azealia concluded her letter by praising Zayn for being "enormously talented", stating she thinks his debut solo single "Pillowtalk", to quote, "is an incredible song."
