An Ohio woman spent her 90th birthday speeding on the tracks of a roller coaster going 80 mph.

Thelma Gratsch rode the Diamondback coaster at The Kings Island amusement park to celebrate her milestone birthday on Friday. The 230-foot-high steel ride is the tallest and fastest coaster at the park near Cincinnati.

Gratsch estimates she's ridden the Diamondback more than 100 times since the ride was introduced in 2009. Park officials claim she's the oldest guest to have taken a spin on the famous ride.

The amusement park introduced Kings Island season passes in 1979 for customers. Gratsch has owned that pass every year, since. The Kings Island Amusement Park opened 1972, a year after Coney Island, a popular amusement park on the banks of the Ohio River in Cincinnati, closed its gates to visitors for the last time in 1971.
