Astronaut Scott Kelly posted via Twitter a photo of a zinnia flower.

It has been the mission of astronauts aboard the International Space Station (ISS) to grow plants where it has never grown before. And finally, after nearly two years, they have finally grown their first batch of zinnia flowers in microgravity.

U.S. astronaut Scott Kelly captioned his photo: "First ever flower grown in space makes its debut! #SpaceFlower #zinnia #YearInSpace".
