We know Ed and Lorraine Warren as the real life paranormal investigators from the horror hit 'The Conjuring.' They documented their investigations and authored various books about these encounters. Out of these investigations, they kept objects that are thought to be cursed and safe guarded them in The Warren's Occult Museum. There, they regularly bless the haunted artefacts in order to contain the evil that may have been trapped. The Warren couple has also trained many demonologists who have helped them free people from demonic spirits and malevolent entities. The following are the locations of where these supernatural activities took place that inspired the scariest horror films.

In Amityville, a village in the town of Babylon, Suffolk County, New York, is said to be the place where a true horror story took place according to Lorraine Warren. A couple named George and Kathy Lutz, along with their three children, reported poltergeist attack from the residence that they recently bought and moved in. It was discovered that previous occupants were killed by their own relative who was possessed by demons. 28 days after the Lutz family purchased the residence, they were forced to transfer to another house in fear of their lives.

Roger and Carolyn Perron moved in with their family of five kids in a new residence in Harrisville, Rhode Island. It turns out that the house was haunted by demons summoned by a witch from the 18th century. This incident was what inspired the horror blockbuster 'The Conjuring.' The Perron family, however, said that no film could depict how horrifying their encounters were.

A house in Enfield, London, owned by a single mother raising her four kids is said to be haunted. The violent spirits would whisper to the children and cause them to levitate. The supernatural events will be depicted in the upcoming sequel 'The Conjuring 2: The Enfield Poltergeist.'
