Travelling has been becoming more and more affordable every year and this start-up with letting you take the travelling to a whole new level.

Winston Club is a members-only travel website set to launch early next year. Winston Club will offer travelers the opportunity to book a room in Seattle, Las Vegas, Portland, San Francisco or Los Angeles for half the price of the usual cost when paying for accommodation for one catch: you will share the room with someone most probably you've never met.

The site will connect you to strangers also looking for a room in the area where you will share the cost and the space of the hotel room.

Unlike other backpacker hostels, staying in a hotel with dirty beds or non-functioning shower heaters will not be your problem. Winstron Club only offers "top hotels" to their members.

Once a member signs up, Winston Club then pair up people with considerations to their travel plans, interests, and background information.

Founder Bryon Shannon came up with the idea after putting his property on Airbnb for two days while he was out of town.

Writing on his websiteShannon said: '[My guest] needed to stay there for three nights, and I was only going to be out of town for two. I assumed it couldn't be too difficult to find another host down town for me to spend one night at.

"I set out looking for a low cost option. I messaged the few clean, close Airbnb spots I could find, and had no success. I certainly didn't want to dish out $150 (£100) or $200 (£135) on a hotel room."

"Rather than staying with an anonymous stranger, you're sharing a space with someone who has been screened and is accountable for their actions."

Members must pre-approve pairings at which point the service will complete the reservation and payment process for them. The parties must submit five forms of verification: phone number and professional email at account setup, one verified social media account and credit card at booking, and one photo ID at check-in. "Winston appeals to the growing segment of consumers who are comfortable and familiar with the sharing economy and operate on a self-funded travel budget," Shannon added.
