Every time a new year dawns, people eagerly await one of the greatest tech battles to ever grace the modern stage - a skirmish of giants. This 2015, the contenders are the iPhone 6 Plus versus the Galaxy Note 4. When it comes down to it, which will rule as king of the Phablets? Which side will you be on?

Cameras

Fortunately for selfie-lovers and Instagram regulars, both the iPhone 6 Plus and the Galaxy Note 4 have practically-invulnerable protruding cameras. Apple boasts an 8-megapixel camera sensor, 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera, and 1080p HD video recording, whereas Samsung's flagship has a 16-megapixel sensor, optical image stabilization, 3.7-megapixel front-facing camera, 4K video recording.

Handle

Apple always manages to keep its gadgets looking sleek and sexy, and the iPhone 6 Plus delivers with flying colors. While the Galaxy Note 4 isn't as chic, it nevertheless offers better grip than the latter.

Case

Both Apple and Samsung have begun ditching plastic cases with their new flagships, with the iPhone 6 Plus sporting curved aluminum, and the Galaxy Note 4 having a metal edge. While the iPhone's curved aluminum might be nicer to touch, Note 4 boasts easy access to the battery through its removable back.

Screen

The Galaxy Note 4 uses a 5.7-inch 2,560 x 1,440 Super AMOLED screen with a scratch-resistant glass, whereas the iPhone 6 Plus uses 5.5-inch 1,920 x 1080 LCD, also resistant to scratching. While Apple might not be able to match Samsung's screen technology, it has its own advantages, such as outdoor visibility and outstanding contrast and black level quality.

Battery Capacity

The iPhone 6 Plus comes with an embedded battery capable of up to 12 hours of use with LTE. On the other hand, the Galaxy Note 4 is equipped with a removable 3,300mAh. It can go for up to two days without having to tap into the device's handy power saving mode.

There is little doubt that these two are arguably the best phones to date. Yet there can only be one winner. How will the battle between the iPhone 6 Plus versus the Galaxy Note 4 play out? Which side are you going to be on?
