Cape Hatteras National Seashore, North Carolina

This national seashore is a skinny strip of barrier islands from Nags Head to Ocracoke Island. Extended to about 72 miles along the Atlantic Coast on the Pouter Banks, the opportunities are almost endless.

The beach's sandy dunes are perfect for swimming, surfing,  and beachcombing. All guests can climb the almost 300 steps to reach the top of the nations tallest lighthouse. When being at a high of 196 feet, there is no view of the seashore as romantic as this, especially at sunset!
