'Mr. Robot' Season 3 Release Date & Spoilers: Angela And Whitehorse Connection To Be Revealed

Feb 01, 2017 05:01 AM EST

In the last installment of USA network's "Mr. Robot," Angela (Portia Doubleday) and Whitehorse (B.D. Wong) can be seen talking in the episode's final minutes. Series creator Sam Esmail had previously revealed that there is indeed a secret connection between Angela and Whitehorse.

Esmail teased the fans by saying that the answer to Angela and Whitehorse's secret connection has a lot to do with the Washington Township plant. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the series mastermind disclosed that all questions will be answered in time.

Esmail has also leaked a page of the script for "Mr. Robot" Season 3 through his twitter. The page depicted a conversation between Elliot (Rami Malek) and his psychiatrist, Krista (Gloria Reuben). It seemingly portrayed an Elliot who is upset over Donald Trump's win in last year's presidential election.

One of last season's biggest surprises was when Angela was unveiled to be working with Tyrell (Martin Wallstorm). She was revealed to have given permission to Tyrell to shoot Elliot after the latter refused to take part in the second phase of their attack against E Corp. Elliot is expected to know about Angela's betrayal in the upcoming season.

The show's first season was undoubtedly successful having won two awards at the 2016 Golden Globes namely for Best Television Series, and Best Performance by an Actor (Christian Slater). However, the series also suffered a drop in ratings of about 40% in Season 2 allegedly because of uneven, extended episode lengths, as per Den of Geek.

"Mr. Robot" Season 3 is expected to be released later this year. In the meantime, the show's official Facebook page has regularly been posting teasers for the third season.
