The $60 Million Stadium at Allen High School is closed down for the games as it was deemed unsafe by the commission of the school district. There was a concrete cracking in the structure that might cause severe damage if it is not attended to immediately. This stadium is one of the most expensive high school stadium in America that opened in 2012. The entire area covers 72 acres. It has 18,000 seats, 22,000 standing rooms, 5,000 parking spaces, 3,300 square foot high scoreboard, and 3 story press box.

According to Ms. Tim Caroll, the spokesperson for the school district, the company responsible for construction of the stadium has stated that the cracking of the concrete is probably due to "natural shrinkage" as brought on by the humidity in Texas. However, there were reports that the cracks were due to the flaws on the design. The concourse was not strong enough to sustain the weight of this 18,000 seats stadium as per the building code required. This was discovered when the school district commissioned a facility analysis when the cracks started to be noticeable last February.

Superintendent Lance Hindt told the Dallas Newspaper that the stadium is not safe for public assembly. With this situation on hand, the games that are scheduled on the stadium will be moved to a different location. Allen High School, state champion of Class 5A Division 1 will be playing their "home" games in a nearby stadium located in Plano. They offered to pay $5,300 for each game. As a result, the school will not be selling any football season tickets this year.

The school will be expecting a final report on the analysis of the stadium by June.
