Every single "Friends" fan holds on to any spark of hope, no matter how tiny, when it comes to talks of a possible reunion. Well, Courteney Cox isn't going to indulge. Cox, who played Monica Geller made the statement on The Late Show. David Letterman asked the "Cougartown" actress if Phoebe, Rachel, Monica, Chandler, Joey and Ross will reunite once more, the actress smiled and said, "It's not gonna happen."

As Cox points out, the whole show was shot on a soundstage in Monica's apartment, so the narrative options for a film are pretty limited. She added that it would be difficult to wrangle all six members together. Cox said that she has tried to reunite the gang for a meal but to no avail. She added: "Let me tell you something, there are six 'Friends' and I've been trying to put together a cast dinner for ten years. It doesn't happen. I can get the girls, maybe Matthew Perry, Matt LeBlanc cancelled last time right at the last minute, Schwimmer lives here [in New York City]. So it's never going to happen."

When Letterman asked if she was sick of the question, Cox said: "Only because once you say I like it, they contact every other cast member and say, 'Well Courteney's into it'. It's not going to happen."

And it's not like Courteney was the only one who shooked her head on a reunion. The show's creators Marta Kauffman and David Crane have repeatedly insisted that there is no chance that hit '90s sitcom will reunite.
