There are no words that can express how I feel
You never kept a secret, always stayed real
And I appreciate, how you raised me
And all the extra love that you gave me

Lost and found and turned around
By the fire in your eyes

3. Spice Girls' "Mama": "Mama" was written by the Spice Girls with songwriting partners Matt Rowe and Richard Stannard. Rowe credits Melanie Brown as the one who came up with the song's concept. Its lyrics deal with the difficulties in relationships between mothers and daughters that appear during adolescence.

But now I'm sure I know why, why you were misunderstood,
So now I see through your eyes, all I can give you is love,
Mama I love you, Mama I care,
Mama I love you, Mama my friend

4. Kanye West's "Hey Mama": The song is dedicated to West's mother, Donda West. The ballad describes his affection, love and appreciation for her having raised him through personal difficulties and yet instilling her values in him.

(Hey Mama), I wanna scream so loud for you, cuz I'm so proud of you
Let me tell you what I'm about to do, (Hey Mama)
I know I act a fool but, I promise you I'm goin back to school
I appreciate what you allowed for me
I just want you to be proud of me (Hey Mama)

5. Taylor Swift's "The Best Day": This song is a love letter from Taylor to her mom, Andrea Swift. Taylor reportedly dropped the song from her "Fearless" tour set list because her mother would cry at the backstage every time the song was played.

Now I know why all the trees change in the fall
I know you were on my side even when I was wrong
And I love you for giving me your eyes
For staying back and watching me shine

6. Nsync's "(God Must Have Spent) A Little More Time On You":The boys dedicated this pop ballad to their mothers. The song's music video features footage of a mother and child, from birthright up to old age, including childhood memories, going to war, and coming home.

Your love is like a river
Peaceful and deep
Your soul is like a secret
That I never could keep

7. Boyz II Men's "A Song For Mama": This tune was the theme song to the motion picture "Soul Food". Written and produced by Babyface, this song is a Mother's Day playlist mainstay.

Mama, mama, you know I love you
Oh you know I love you
Mama, mama, you're the queen of my heart
Your love is like tears from the stars

8. Alicia Keys' "Superwoman": An empowering and strong song, Keys writes a track showing a woman's daily struggles and her courage and dedication in overcoming those battles. Who better to dedicate this song to than your mother?

This is for all the mothers fighting
For better days to come
And all my women
All my women sitting here trying
To come home before the sun

9. Good Charlotte's "Thank You Mom": This song was written to honor Benji and Joel Madden's mother. The hidden track is in appreciation to their mother's efforts for raising them on her own.

I said I thank you, I'll always thank you
More than you would know, than I could ever show
And I love you, I'll always love you
There's nothing I won't do, to say these words to you
That you're beautiful forever

10. Blake Shelton's "The Baby": American country singer Blake Shelton sings about how a mother thinks and looks for her children. The sweet ode is both meaningful and sincere and is sure to make your momma's heart melt.

I guess she was tired by
the time I came along.
She'd laugh until she cried,
I could do no wrong.
She would always save me,
because I was her baby.
