Gwen Stefani might be the long-term replacement of Christina Aguilera as NBC revealed that the hit talent show is about to get major changes for its seventh season.

According to People, some major changes are about to come to NBC's 'The Voice' and that includes the changes in the line-up of judges who are going to take the turning seats for the show's upcoming season.

First on the list is Gwen Stefani, who is said to replace Christina Aguilera for good. Aguilera, who is expecting her second child with hubby Matt Rutler, is taking a break from the show, and a few insiders revealed that she has no plans of returning thus far, according to TMZ.

However, HollywoodLife reports that after this season, Christina is sure to be back as she has already signed on to join the show for its eighth season.

The news about Gwen Stefani replacing Christina Aguilera came after Pharrell Williams was revealed to take over CeeLo Green's chair.

While The Wrap and The Hollywood Reporter claim that Stefani's deal for the said show is still in the works, TMZ reports that she is already signed on.

"The rumors are true, Gwen will be taking the job," an insider from NBC exclusively confirmed the news to HollywoodLife.

Aside from Pharrell Williams and Gwen Stefani's appearance for the upcoming season, which is to start filming in June, Usher is rumored to rejoin the show as Adam Levin's replacement.

A source told HollywoodLife that Adam Levine is actually leaving for a season. "It's all his decision if he wants to take the time off or not," the source added.

Now in terms of Usher replacing Levine, the source says producers are actually scouting for more options as of late.

"Usher would not instantly be the one to replace him," the source said. "They would get someone new if Adam decides to leave."

Meanwhile, People reports that Blake Shelton is expected to back for 'The Voice' season 7.
