Noah movie 2014 released at the same time received numerous criticisms after its adaptation of the biblical story of Noah from the book of Genesis.

The biblical epic of Noah in a movie adaptation has become a controversy and has drawn many negative comments even before it hits the theater screens. Criticisms for the said movie were unstoppable as some religious claim that the story was inaccurately portrayed. Noah movie 2014 has also been ban from different Islamic countries as they considered it as a taboo to depict a prophet.

Despite of the controversies that the film is facing even before its release date, the director of the said film is excited as the story is being put into film. Darren Aronofsky is also the director of the highly- acclaimed movie Black Swan.

"no one has done the Noah story on film and for me that was very strange. It is one of the oldest stories ever told, it is one of our greatest stories, and it should be on the silver screen, so it very exciting to bring something of this kind of scope and epic to the big screen." Noah movie 2014 director, Aronofsky said.

As the movie attracted many criticisms, the stars of the film are no longer shock for the different responses they received. Actress Emma Watson, who portrayed the role of Ila, the wife of Noah's son said that she already expected that it will be very controversial.

"To be honest, I expected there to be controversy, I think all Biblical adaptations carry the weight of that because it is something that is so personal to people," she said. "Everyone interprets it differently, but so far, the response has been really positive, and I think the film, when people see it, (they) will realize that it is very sensitive and inclusive ... I'm really proud of the movie." The actress said in an interview.

Meanwhile, actor Rusell Crowe who plays the role of Noah in Noah movie 2014 said that he accepted the role partly because he had the desire to work with director Aronofsky.
