Judge Joe Brown wife Deborah Herron stands by her husband as the former TV court judge got arrested on Monday, March 24. In a TMZ report, Judge Joe Brown allegedly became verbally abusive while representing a woman who was accused of being the mother of an unknown child by someone in Memphis, Tennessee. Throughout the contempt of court arrest, Judge Joe Brown's wife stood by him.

Juvenile Court Magistrate Harold Horne was the one who warned the 66-year-old judge to calm down, and when he did not, Judge Joe Brown was given two days in jail for contempt of court, before it was increased to three days in jail. That's when the former TV court judge lost his temper and started yelling as he was removed from the courtroom, according to CBS News affiliate WREG Memphis.

Audio obtained by Action News 5 reveals Brown telling the magistrate that federal standards show the woman had been treated unfairly. The magistrate can then be heard trying to set a hearing for a later date, but Brown threatened to shut the place down. After that, the magistrate warned Judge Joe Brown that he was close to finding himself in contempt.

Brown said to the magistrate, "On what authority do you sit by? As a former judge here, we have a rule in the 30th judicial district that says every single magistrate referee has to be unanimously approved by every circuit, chancery, and criminal court judge. I don't recall your name's ever been submitted, sir. This tribunal on a general sessions court's authority is insufficient to establish you, therefore I challenge your authority to hear it. By the way, what is that? Magistrate, sir? With due respect."

Updated reports say that former Judge Joe Brown has already been released on his own recognizance after he was charged. The Shelby County Sheriff's Office claims that Judge Beasley signed an order releasing Joe Brown Monday evening.

"This is politically motivated," Brown said after his release. "[The woman I represented has] been going through this for eight years. There was no date of birth, no names, no birth certificate. She doesn't know who the devil they're talking about."

The former Judge Joe Brown turned in a petition earlier this year to run for the Democratic nomination in the race for Shelby County's district attorney.  He is best known for the TV series "Judge Joe Brown". The show was canceled in 2013 after 15 seasons. He is now currently running for Shelby County District Attorney.

Judge Joe Brown's wife now is Deborah Herron. He has been married twice and has two sons from his first marriage.
