Meryl Davis' boyfriend still remains to be a hot topic on the Internet especially now that the gold medalist ice-dancing partners are to battle it out in the upcoming new season of 'Dancing With the Stars.' However, instead of remaining as partners, Meryl Davis and rumored boyfriend Charlie White will be contending against each other and against 10 other contestants of the hit dancing show.

Nevertheless, the issue that the long-time partners are secret lovers continues to haunt them. The Epoch Times even reported that several media outlets even speculated that Meryl Davis and alleged boyfriend Charlie White have secretly been married all along.

But like most figure skating and ice dancing pairs, who have partnered with each other for more than a decade or so, Meryl Davis and Charlie White were reportedly never romantically involved in one way or the other.

"As an ice dancer, we take our on-ice relationships so seriously, and that's really the way we like to go about it," Charlie White once told Yahoo!

Additionally, if the rumors were true that Meryl Davis' boyfriend was actually Charlie White, then White may have some explaining to do as he is currently in a relationship with retired figure skater Tanith Belbin.

"[Davis and I] are just presenting ourselves as a team, and all the rest of that [with Belbin] can wait for later," White explained.

At the recently concluded 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics, Meryl Davis and partner Charlie White exuded much chemistry, which fans believed was more than just part of their show.

Nonetheless, the ice dancing pair have made it clear in the past that their relationship has and will always be platonic.

"It's awkward because a lot of people like to ask if we are a couple off the ice. Because we are such good actors and it's a vital part of being an ice dancer to show we're in love on the ice, everyone just assumes, 'Hey, they probably are a couple off the ice.' We get that question a lot and it's a little bit awkward but we're used to it," White told TeamUSA.org.

Despite the reality that Meryl Davis' boyfriend isn't Charlie White, or that she doesn't have any boyfriend as of the moment, many fans continue to be thankful to the undeniable chemistry she has with White - one thing that may have helped them grab the gold medals for this year's winter Olympics.

Meanwhile, HollywoodLife reports that White is very loyal to his girlfriend Tanith Belbin, who was named as the most attractive female Olympian in the Vancouver Games in 2010 by Men's Health magazine.
