Olivia Wilde recently called out Hollywood's sexism.

She is now part of a panel on the "State of Female Justice," and as a member, she recalled a remarkable story about how a gender-swapped reading of the script for American Pie shows Hollywood's sexism.

The swap's result was that the women got "all the good lines", while the men merely became the supporting actors.

Wilde told the panel while relating her story, "The men who joined us to sit on stage started squirming rather uncomfortably and got really bored because they weren't used to being the supporting cast."

Olivia added, "It was fascinating to feel their discomfort [and] to discuss it with them afterwards, when they said, 'It's boring to play the girl role!' And I said, 'Yeah. Yeah. You think?! Welcome to our world!'"

It seems that the 29-year-old really knows what she's talking about because of the 40 films she's been in, she says that she had only had one true leading role to date, and that was her role in the Drinking Buddies.

How exactly does Hollywood play the perfect role of sexist in today's society? Well, actresses are paid less and receive fewer lines than their male counterparts in any TV or movie franchise.

As of today, Angelina Jolie is the highest-paid female movie star in the world, but she only makes the same per movie as Denzel Washington and Liam Neeson, the two lowest-paid A-list male stars in Hollywood.

Even in the world's modern setup now, as of 2012, only 28.4% of speaking roles in the top 100 films went to women, according to the latest report by the Women's Media Center.

Wilde pledged to go further in her empowerment of women in films.
