Las Vegas is a great travel destination, especially with world-class entertainment, amazing dining, incomparable nightlife, and luxury hotels in one city. However it can get pricey. Vegas.com has provided tips on how to save money or make the most out of money while traveling to Las Vegas.

1. Travel in the middle of the week. Your best bet is on a Tuesday. Mid-week rates can be up to 50 percent lower than weekend rates.

2. Don't book around major events. Try to book the week or weekend following big events or conventions like the Consumer Electronics Show, NASCAR or Electric Daisy Carnival and more.

3. Don't book during peak Spring Travel times. Instead shoot for late March or late April. A great  time would be the week of March 30 as this follows a month of holidays, spring break and college basketball. If you can be flexible, these dates tend to be cheaper.

4. Figure out which travel dates are cheapest. With tools like Vegas.com's rate calendar, travelers can find and compare the best times to visit. To use the tool, visit any hotel page on Vegas.com and click on the Rate Calendar tab.

5. Book travel packages. Air and hotel or dinner and show packages are usually cheaper than booking items separately. But make sure to check individual and package rates to make comparisons.
