In ever corner of Paris, tourists manage to find something totally different that sets the city apart from the rest. Whether it's an unusual delicacy, souvenir or an entire store altogether, it's a city of quirky, nifty and at times, stomach turning finds.

Travelers Today has compiled a brief list of some of the city's quirkiest boutiques that's about to bring shopping to a whole new level.

1. Deyrolle

Taxidermy has always been a thing of fascination, especially in Paris. A boutique named Deyrolle almost found its way to closure when it was destroyed by fire back in 2008. Thanks to deep-pocketed supporters, including fashion pillar Hermès, Prince Louis Albert de Broglie was able to rebuild the store.

Reminiscent of a 19th century interior, Deyrolle is filled with stuff creatures, including tigers, house cats and giraffes.

2. Tombées du Camion

Literally translating to "fallen off a truck", this boutique is the unusual collector's haven. With doll heads, vintage pistols and toys as well as a few broken clocks, Tombées du Camion is a house of nostalgic joy.

"I sell items with emotional instead of commercial value," owner Charles Ma says and continues, "Nostalgia, humor, surrealism, punk and the absurd inspire me," in an interview with CNN.

3. Julien Aurouze

This exterminator shop is popularly known for its cameo in the renowned animation film Ratatouille, when the rat's father showed him a display of dead stuffed rats in traps.

Tourists all over the world flock the store for some photo ops with the unique rat traps as well as an exclusive experience of witnessing some of the most elaborate pest control contraptions ever built.

4. La Fausse Boutique

La Fausse Boutique, which means The Fake Boutique is often mistaken as one, even if it's actually a space for conducting workshops among artists and designers. A lot of people come in and ask if they can but the creations they see from the outside.

It's a beautiful kind of deception for any grotesque traveler.
