Internationally popular action star Jackie Chan has announced plans to build a theme park in Beijing to exhibit his belongings, according to USA Today. The project will be built in collaboration with a local organization.

Chan plans to display items from his personal collection, including furniture and jewelry, according to the Malaysian Times. Chan plans to donate at least four antique Chinese buildings that he had previously purchased and restored to the park development, though there isn't much additional information on what the park will consist of.

He had found the buildings to be "a huge burden" to him for years after he spent a lot of money on their restoration, but then couldn't find someone who could use them. Not even Chan's son was interested in the buildings.

"I was very poor when I was a child, so when I had money later on, I bought all sorts of things and went around the world collecting them," Chan said.

"I want to exhibit all my stuff," he continued. "They may not be worth a lot of money, but they may have a story behind them."

The park will be named JC World and will consist of five main paths. Each path will have a different theme in order to provide visitors with different cultural experiences.

There won't be an admission fee, but some attractions within the park will have ticketed admission.

"Sixty percent of the park will be free, forty percent will be ticketed, with the money used to maintain the antique buildings," Chan said. "I am not short on money."

The announcement of the park comes a month after Chan was widely criticized on Chinese social media after he posted a photograph of mostly clear skies in Beijing, something that rarely occurs in the city known for its high pollution levels.
