The World Gourmet Festival is taking place at the Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok from September 2 to 8.

"Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok will host the 14th Annual World Gourmet Festival, a week-long culinary extravaganza featuring outstanding food and superb wines, with daily lunches, dinners and wine tastings presented by visiting master chefs from around the world," says the hotel's website.

Tourism Authority of Thailand joined forces with The Four Seasons in Bangkok to host the festivities. There is an international lineup of chefs which means that there will be cuisines from around the world represented.  The itinerary includes lunches, dinners, wine tastings and workshops.

"Proceeds from the festival will also help to support a very important charity; for each dinner ticket sold, 600 Baht will be contributed to the 'Save a Child's Life from AIDS Project'. The proceeds from the World Gourmet live auctions, which will take place during the festival, will also be donated to this charity," reported Streetinsider.com. Top of Form

Belgian chef, Roger van Damme from Het Gebaar, a Michelin-starred restaurant in Antwerp, Belgium has created a dinner made entirely of sweets at the festival.

With his artistic presentation and unexpected taste combinations, he'll demonstrate why he's often referred to as the "godfather of molecular pastry." Those who lack a sweet tooth need not worry as each dessert, while light and flavorful, varies in sweetness and is accompanied by a glass of wine," said taste.fourseasosn.com.

Highlights include at the festival include, "Chef Vito Mollica of Michelin-starred Il Palagio in Florence, Italy; Chef Paco Perez, Miramar Restaurant, Llançà, Spain; Chef Jérôme Bonnet, Restaurant Daniel, Paris, France; and Chef Hirohisa Koyama, Aoyagi, Tokyo, Japan," reported CNN Travel.
