Giada de Laurentiis from Food Network, is planning to open her first restaurant in Las Vegas.

De Laurentiis is best known for her Food Network shows, Giada at Home and Everyday Italian. The new restaurant will open at the Gansevoort hotel which is set to open 2014.

"For a long time I've been debating and for a long time I've looked at spaces in Los Angeles, in Las Vegas, in New York," she said according to USA Today. "I figured that coming from a big movie family, my grandfather (film producer Dino de Laurentiis) truly believed you go big or you go home, so I'm going big! It's sort of funny because I'm going big yet I'm going to be in the smallest hotel on the Strip."

"I want to bring what people will expect from me, my Italian food with a California spin," she said to USA Today. "The visual will be clean lines that you will find in a modern Milanosteria rather than the classic rustic Italian feel that people have come to know and love."

The restaurant is currently unnamed but will feature high ceilings and a view of the Bellagio fountains.

"You can't beat the view that we're going to have," she said to US Today. "I wanted a space in the sense that I could do whatever I wanted in the space. It wasn't just about giving it a fresh coat of paint or new carpeting, but I actually designed the restaurant of my dreams."

The restaurant will include an antipasto bar and an open kitchen for pizza and breads.

"Unlike a lot of chefs that open restaurants in Vegas who know how to do this for a living, and have a huge team, I'm sort of building my team," she said to The Las Vegas Sun. "I have some team members, but I'm not going pretend to have the team that maybe a Bobby Flay would have."

The strip is already hope to other Food Network veterans such as Emeril Lagasse, Mario Batali and Bobby Flay.
