Cookie Monster, the popular "Sesame Street" character, performed a cover of "I Love It" by Icona Pop, according to the Huffington Post.

In his version, Cookie Monster redid the song as a story about his insatiable appetite for cookies, with lyrics including, "Me want it, but me wait."

He parties in a nightclub while he waits to eat his cookies.

Earlier this season, "Sesame Street" featured a spoof of the popular television show "Sons of Anarchy," which was reimagined as a story about a group of outlaw bikers in a fictional California town. The show was renamed the "Sons of Poetry" and the group was followed by the raven from the Edgar Allen Poe poem. As the characters perform the poems, they meet other poets along the way, including Elizabeth Barrett Browning.

The show also recently featured an appearance by "Avengers" and "Thor" actor Tom Hiddleston, who played Loki. During his appearance, Hiddleston performed Shakespeare with some of the characters.

"There is some stuff that seems archaic, and it can go without any loss of the whole," Hiddleston said, regarding cut portions of Shakespeare. "It's such a privilege to be able to put Shakespeare on the screen, that you want to make it thrilling cinema."

The show returned to television in the U.K. on august 1, after being off the air for the past 12 years. Channel Four had dropped the popular children's show in 2001, though now selected episodes from seasons 36 to 43 are available for U.K. viewers.

"These series were never broadcast here so this will provide hours of fun for the little ones this summer, and probably a fair few nostalgic adults too, who grew up with the show," Nick Forward, the director of TV for Virgin Media, who are broadcasting the episodes on demand, said.

"Sesame Street" debuted in 1969 and features several Muppets created by Jim Henson, including such famous names as Big Bird, Bert and Ernie, Oscar the Grouch, Cookie Monster and Elmo. The show has aired over 4,000 episodes, winning 118 Emmy Awards and eight Grammy Awards.
