Bogeying the first and fourth holes while on the front nine, at the Honda Classic, the former golfing-No.1, Tiger Woods, decided to be unconventional after hooking his tee shot into the water hazard, on the par-four sixth hole.

"It was only half submerged so I could play some sort of explosion shot and get it back in the fairway," said Woods. "I wasn't trying to advance it very far just get it back on the fairway and give myself some sort of wedge shot in there - which I did and got up and down. If I didn't get that up‑and‑down, I am looking at a six, three‑over, and all of a sudden I flip it, make par there and birdie the next. Could easily have been three and all of a sudden I'm even," according to Examiner.

The shot allowed him to recover from his horrid start and birdie two holes on the back nine.

However, he still ended the day six shots behind the leader, Colombian Villegas, who actually won the event in 2010 and capped a flawless six-under-par 64 with an eagle at the par-five 18th that left him one stroke ahead of South Africa's Branden Grace, Canada's Graham DeLaet and Americans Rickie Fowler and Robert Streb, according to Yahoo.

Off the golf course, Woods was recently spotted with his ex-wife Elin Nordegren and their two children. Rumors continue to swirl that the two will reconcile, though contrary rumors say the golfer is dating Lindsey Vonn.

Vonn, who is rehabbing after injuring herself on Feb. 5, at the Alpine skiing world championships, in Austria, deflected questions reporters asked about her relationship with the golfer during her press conference, by stating, "I'm only two weeks out from the worst injury I've had in my career. At this point, I'm just not going to talk about my personal life.''
