Traveling in our state, even that sounds idyllic these days. After all, the possibilities for travel are limited and countries with a tropical temperature seem far from accessible... Fortunately, you can still travel in your own region and that is actually quite fun, especially with a camper under your buttocks. In this blog we will tell you more about traveling with a campervan in times of Corona.

You are flexible

Freedom is a great gift, especially in times of Corona. And with a campervan you certainly have that freedom. You can drive from place to place, exactly when you feel like it. The best thing about having a campervan in times of Corona, is that you can easily move around if the rules change at a specific campsite or region. Because most campervans have sanitary facilities on board, you can always travel easily. You are gone in no time, without too much expense.

You travel safely

Obviously, a number of things have changed at the campsite in terms of safety. For example, campsites must also apply the distance measure, especially in communal areas. This includes communal sanitary facilities. But because many campers have sanitary facilities on board, you do not necessarily have to go there. Actually, the camper is your own quarantine environment anyway. In swimming pools, restaurants and games areas, the distance measure must also be practised - provided that these areas are open. Are you not quite comfortable with that? Then make sure you have enough entertainment on board of your campervan. Or dive into nature; in the open air the chance of contamination is considerably less.

Types of residence

But what is the best place to stay? That is of course a personal choice. If you prefer to spend as little indoors as possible due to the risk of contamination, choose a nature campsite. Here you can easily dive into nature and be surrounded by greenery. If you would like to avoid crowded places, choose a small-scale campsite or opt for a camper spot off the beaten track.

Then there is a difference between free, paid and luxury campsites. If you go for a free campervan spot, this is often a simple one with no or hardly any facilities. This is perfect if your campervan is a tiny house in itself. Are you going on a trip with the campervan, but do you actually want to enjoy some luxury as well? Then there are also the so-called wellness campsites where you can stay with your campervan. Ideal if you have worked hard this year and earned a little extra. There are even wellness campsites where some camper spots are equipped with a private jacuzzi and massage room. How nice is that!  A wellness campsite is ideal if you want to be outdoors and still want the luxury of your own jacuzzi - or a shared jacuzzi for 6 people (Dutch: jacuzzi voor 6 personen) to share with your travel buddies. It's the ideal combination!

Traveling with a campervan in times of corona? We say go for it!
