With the possibility of finally cornering one of the most wanted men in recent history, former police office Christopher Donner, the man suspected in a rampage that left four people dead, no one thought about the cabin's well-being?

Well, there was one woman thinking just that--Candy Martin, the owner of the cabin allegedly used by Christopher Dorner to engage in a deadly shootout with law enforcement.

Speaking with NBC Los Angeles, she reflects on the feeling of seeing her family's vacation home burn to the ground on live television.

"We're(Martin and family) looking and we say, 'Oh these are cabins, these look like...' and there's no doubt that those are my cabins," Martin said.

Though she bought the cabin just over a decade ago, the home was 85 years old, dating back to the late 1920s. "That was heart-wrenching to see ... the fire. I just started crying. I couldn't talk at that point," said said to NBC.

During the shootout, which left one law enforcement official dead and another seriously wounded, the cabin caught fire. An investigation to determine the exact cause of the fire is ongoing. One person's remains, presumed to be Dorner's, were later found among the wreckage, according to Yahoo.

Though distressed and saddened about the loss of her home, Martin said she knows others are hurting more. "I'm not the [worst-off] victim," she said. "The worst are the families who lost their loved ones," reported Yahoo.

Even with the cabin being burned down, at least Martin can say that her cabin played a key role in the now confirmed killing of Dorner.

"Investigators determined fairly quickly that the burned human remains found after a shootout in Southern California mountains are those of Christopher Dorner," reported ABC.
