Bursting onto the country-music scene as a teenager, the now 30-year-old, LeAnn Rimes, claims she is unable to sing due to "alleged shoddy work," by dentist Dr. Duane C. Mckay, according to upi.com.

She has filed a lawsuit--obtained by TMZ--against Dr. Duane C. McKay, stating she visited the doctor on several occasions over the last three years to get work done, which has included upper front veneers and crowns, which she was told would ease her TMJ-related pain and improve the appearance of her teeth.

However, instead of making the problems better, she said the problems just got worse.

Rimes claims she will have a ''permanent cosmetic deficiency'' as a result of Dr. McKay's work and the pain she has endured has stopped her from singing and performing live, reported msn.com.

Adding, she had to subsequently undergo nine root canals, bone grafting, physical therapy and installation of a temporary bridge as a result of his treatment, according to upi.com.

"I feel like I got hit in my right side of my face with a baseball bat," she said, reported syracuse.com.

The 'Crazy Women' singer is seeking unspecified damages for physical, emotional and psychiatric injuries and is seeking cash for loss of past and future earnings, stated msn.com.

Used to expressing her emotions and thoughts via Twitter(who isn't nowadays?), Rimes Tweeted:

''K, coming clean ... I had minor surgery this week and I've been in SO much pain it's not even funny.

''Nothing major just annoying! Pain pain go away!!!!!! When it's mouth pain and jaw pain it makes your whole head pound! YUCK. [sic]''
