A new and innovative service for traveling celebrities and VIPs will be opened next month at the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). Called The Private Suite, it is an exclusive terminal for opulent passengers and dignitaries to ensure their safe passage.

It includes close-in security, luxurious suites where celebrity passengers can wait while waiting for their flights. They will then be transported to the tarmac in a BMW 7-Series sedan.

While inside the private suite, clients can enjoy pampering on a spa which is a complementary service included in the membership fee as reported by Travel & Leisure. Members can also get pre-flight massages and hair/make-up services in their suites. Membership is at $7,500 annually, $2,700 for domestic flights and $4,000 for international flights.

Clients will not be walking too long before they can board their planes as the VIP suite's car service will bring them too close with only 70 steps to their planes. Ordinary travelers have to walk 2,200 steps to their planes. VIP clients need not queue too long and are safe from the paparazzi and fans in case of famous personalities.

The Private Suite has a staff to walk with the clients until they board including those who will take care of their baggage. The service is the only one of its kind in the U.S. The same VIP terminals are present in the airports of London, Heathrow, Dubai, and Munich.

Gavin de Becker & Associates own and operate the lounge. It is a provider of security to celebrities, high-profile individuals, and diplomats worldwide.

Business Traveler reported that The Private Suite used to house a cargo facility adjacent to the LAX's southern runway. The gated valet parking ensures security and privacy. Individual suites have bathrooms, day beds, food service pantry filled with every imaginable item and drinks, and other amenities like candy dispensers, prayer mats, raincoats, ties, and dress shirts.
