The most anticipated film, "War For The Planet Of The Apes" director Matt Reeves has shared details about the film in an interview. He says that the film sets Caesar on a revenge mission.

Reeves who earlier directed the second installment of the film has helmed the third part. This movie picks up right where it has left off in 2014. It sees an increasing conflict between Leader of Apes and The Colonel (Woody Harrelson).

Talking about character Caesar Reeves says, "It finally cracks Caesar," he continues, "The movie goes from being this grand war movie to an almost Josey Wales-like Western," reported Entertainment Weekly. This drops a hint that the upcoming film almost has all the elements to entertain the audience.

Meanwhile, a new cast addition called Bad Ape (Steve Zahn) and a human girl called Nova (Amiah Miller) is likely to provide the needed humor. Director Reeves confirms this and says, "I knew Steve was going to make me laugh," he further adds, "... but we did this heartbreaking scene about Bad Ape's past and he made me cry." The director also appreciates Steve's performance who acted just as that character needed to be, reported Los Angeles Times.

Revealing his experience playing the Bad Ape, Steve says that initially, he was nervous. But later he started watching several videos of the chimpanzee on YouTube. This has helped him to get into the character well, as per aforementioned source.

The trailers for the film suggest that Harrelson's Colonel strives to protect humans against the apes. According to Andy Serkis (Caesar) "The Colonel comes across as someone who's psychotic," reported the aforementioned source.

Talking about Colonel's goal Serkis adds, "But he is fighting for the survival of humanity, as Caesar is fighting for the apes." "War For The Planet Of The Apes" opens in theaters on July 14.
