"Dragon Ball Super" fans are getting excited with each episode especially that the Team Universe 7 is slowly taking shape to participate in the action-packed Tournament of Power. Goku is currently on the island under the protection of Android 17 and he is still convincing the android to sign-up for the multiverse battle royal. On the other hand, Gohan went to meet his former martial arts mentor to invite him to join in the fray.

In Episode 88 that will be titled "Gohan and Piccolo! Master and Student Train to Their Limit!," will see the series divert away from Goku and focus on his son, Gohan. Unlike his father, Gohan doesn't have the passion for martial arts and battling strong opponents. He is rather portrayed as a passive individual who will only fight if his loved ones are put into danger and throughout the years his power had dwindled due to his lack of training.

According to Comic Book, his latest encounter with his Namekian master, Piccolo will result in a one on one training to improve both of their powers. In the previous episodes particularly on the Zen Exhibition match, he seemed to have lost his touch in fighting where he struggled to finish off his poison using opponent. With huge stakes at the tournament, he has no choice but to improve his power to have a better chance of emerging victorious in the upcoming tournament.

During their training, Piccolo will whip Gohan into a shape that will result with the half-Saiyan increasing his power to a whole new level as reported by Blasting News. As we all know Gohan has a massive innate potential that if harnessed properly will result in an outstanding power that can exceed most of the strong characters in "Dragon Ball Super." The Great Elder Guru and Old Kai have already unlocked this potential of his and it is now up to him to cultivate and use this power.

While some fans speculated that Gohan will also achieve the Super Saiyan Blue form, there are no official announcements that will prove the theory. On the other hand, Tien Shinhan and Chiaotzu will make their comeback in the future episodes of "Dragon Ball Super."
