It looks like Niantic is gearing for two big events for "Pokemon GO" after the Easter and this will likely introduce several features that have been leaked already including the update about the co-op raid system. The summer event could probably introduce the arrivals of Legendary Pokemon as well.

According to a report from Express, Niantic has two big events planned for its hit mobile game this year, one in the spring and one in the summer. The company said in a message that they are continued to be inspired by the "65+ million people from around the world playing 'Pokemon GO' each month."

The report said that Niantic is looking to provide players in the northern hemisphere a "new cooperative social gameplay experience" for the mobile game. The company is banking that the new feature will entice players, especially those who stopped playing already, to again continue playing "Pokemon GO."

The new cooperative social gameplay that Niantic is talking about likely points to the new raid system that has recently been leaked to be a big part of the game's revamp. The system will allow players to attack a Gym in teams, instead of the current system of doing it individually.

Express said that the event could likely introduce the new Gym mechanics that was also leaked as well. The new features will now have a notification system whenever a Gym is being attacked or raided. Players will also need to feed their Pokemon on the Gyms to allow them to stay there.

As for the summer event, WWG is speculating that Niantic will likely introduce aLegendary Pokemon to the game. The issue of Legendary Pokemon have already been a hot topic for "Pokemon GO" and fans have been waiting for an event that was similar to the trailer where hundreds of players worked together to defeat Mewtwo.

But Niantic CEO John Hanke said that something like that would be difficult to do given the game's popularity. Another possible reveal during the summer event is a player-vs-player battle, which is another feature that is highly requested.

Whatever Niantic has planned for its next two events for "Pokemon GO" will soon be revealed. For now, fans can just continue to play the game and await details from the company. Check out the video below for more about the summer event of "Pokemon GO."
