Easter Sunday is just around the corner and people have been anticipating Niantic to announce an Easter event for "Pokemon GO" this week. The event will likely include egg-themed bonuses, but it's possible for the company to have Pokemon egg hunt as a feature.

Paul Tassi of Forbes is envisioning a "Pokemon GO" Easter Egg hunt, where eggs are the ones spawning out instead of actual Pokemon. The eggs would spawn at random areas and would appear in a similar way to how Pokemon randomly spawn.

Except it won't be a Pokemon that players are looking at, but an egg and that egg doesn't necessarily contain just Pokemon in them, rather various items and rewards. People could get Stardust, Store items, Evolution items, Poke balls, or actual Pokemon.

Tassi said the rewards found inside the egg would have a "varying levels of rarity." This means there would be eggs that contain mostly common items, but there would also be rare eggs where it contains rare rewards. The ultimate prize for the egg would be a Pokemon and it should be the type that people usually get when they hatch 5 km to 10 km Pokemon.

If Niantic were to do something like this, it would be a great event for "Pokemon GO" where a lot of players would enjoy playing. Though Niantic has yet to make any announcement about the Easter event, Express reports that the company had always held seasonal events for Halloween and Christmas.

This makes the Easter event highly likely and it's only a matter of time before Niantic makes its announcement. The report adds that the developers are not only looking to feature egg-themed bonuses but possibly to also launch a new mechanic to "Pokemon GO."

The new mechanic is likely related to the co-op feature that has been in the grapevine for the past week. With only a few days left before Easter Sunday, fans will soon know what Niantic has planned. Check out the video below for more news on the "Pokemon GO" Easter event.
