"Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" have already kicked off with its first episode last Wednesday where a flashforward of the Konoha village was featured. The Hokage Rock was nearly destroyed while two ninjas are battling on its foreground, the mysterious Kawaki and a grown-up version of Uzumaki Boruto. After the grim scene, the episode went on a more subtle theme where it showed Boruto in his early days.

The new story will feature Naruto's son as he comes up with a peaceful and rapidly modernizing ninja village of Konoha. In the first episode, Boruto had come of age to enter the ninja academy as a young trainee and like his father when he is in his age, Boruto was portrayed as a trouble maker. To join him in his adventures are the sons and daughters of Naruto's friends such as Uchiha Sarada, Nara Shikadai, Metal Lee and many more.

According to Comic Book, the future episodes of "Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" will feature new characters namely, Yamanaka Inojin, Ino and Sai's son and Metal Lee. Metal is the son of the martial arts expert Rock Lee and an unnamed mother. Like his father, he is also a taijutsu specialist. He carries his father's signature thick eyebrows, however, he is shown to have stage fright and easily gets nervous when he is the center of attention.

"Naruto Shippuden" has been around for almost two decades and we've seen the characters from the series mature into responsible adults and making their own families. The franchise is doing a good job of portraying the change from the original series that we love to the brand-new spinoff series. The show even portrayed Boruto riding the train off the tracks to show that the story will be different with his father's as stated by Crunchyroll.

In the upcoming episode titled "Hokage's Son," Boruto will clash with Yamanaka Inojin who claimed that he was riding on the Hokage's coat tails. Knowing Boruto and his tendencies when he is compared to his father, he wouldn't stand and do nothing against Inojin. "Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" Episode 2 will air on April 12, 2017.
