The supposed "House of Cards" season 5 airing date was delayed due to some changes in its production. However, despite the late release of the upcoming season, the series will be airing this May. There was another speculation that claimed the delay of the series and it says that it was due to show creator Beau Willimon who left the show during the end of the season 4.

His leaving gave a huge impact to the production team, however, the good note was, the team recovered fast enough and right now they are already gearing up for the release of the upcoming "House of Cards" season 5, Mobipicker reported.

Just recently, the series spilled off some spoilers on its upcoming season. The premiere is expected to feature the president who will accept the help of his confidant and loyal chief of staff, Douglas Stamper. He will come out with certain strategies that will eliminate all his enemies who will be a future threat to his chances of becoming a president.

Season 5 will also feature Frank who will do anything just to reach his goal of entering the presidency. It can be recalled that his opponents were able to dig out all his bad crimes but still he managed to win the political battle with the help of his wife Claire.

Meanwhile, as per Variety, the series is also among the Pre-Emmy voting lineup. It was among the best TV series line-ups which together with "Fargo" and "Americans." These series are among the contenders for Emmy's excellent drama and which is set to be recognized by the TV academy.

Moreover, as per "House of Cards" season 5, Netflix is set to make the premiere on May 30. Apparently, there will be three shows this year that is set to have its release date by May on Netflix, which includes "Master of None" and "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt" respectively.
