A new actor is joining the cast of the Ryan Murphy series "American Horror Story" for its season 7. Billy Eichner will be joining the anthology series although it's unknown yet what his role will be.

Variety reports that much like the secretive nature of the show, his character or storyline is being kept a secret. The comedian actor is probably known for his role as Craig Middlebrooks in the series "Parks and Recreation." Aside from that, he has played various small roles in other projects like "the Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt" and the movie "Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising."

Meanwhile, Deadline reports that in the recent AHS Paley Fest Panel, veteran actress Sarah Paulson, who has starred in all seasons of "American Horror Story" has opened up about reprising a previous role she had played before. In the latest season, she was able to portray an older Lana Winters, who she played in season 2 of the FX series. When asked who she would like to play in the next seasons, she said that she would love to come back as Cordelia Foxx.

The character was revealed as the Supreme Witch at the end of season 3. Paulson said that she would like to see a storyline where Foxx will have the full powers of the Supreme.

Meanwhile, newcomer Eichner will be in more than half of the episodes for season 7. Reports indicate that he would be a close friend of Paulson's character. As he is known for playing comedic roles, it is unknown if he will be playing a similar one in the series.

"American Horror Story" season 7 is said to be heavily influenced by election season. The first episode will apparently feature the election night as the jump off point. The next episodes will feature the fallout of what happened during the election.
