Cancellation rumors have previously surfaced, but now that "Longmire" Season 6 has been confirmed, fans rejoiced, but it will be shortlived because Season 6 is going to be the last season. The plot of the upcoming season is going to get more complicated, especially for Vic and Walt.

Yahoo! News reported that "Longmire" is going to be back with one more season. It's a sad news, but at least, it promises closure to the cast. Both fans and the cast are excited when news that filming for Season 6 will start soon.  Katee Sackhoff, who plays Vic, tweeted that filming for "Longmire" Season 6 will start on March 22. She also tweeted about a couple of months ago that she has spoken to the producer, and the last season "is gonna be epic."

According to Celebeat, executive producer Hunt Baldwin teased during a previous interview that Walt and Vic's romantic side will be explored, and there is even a possibility that they would end up together. Remember during Season 4 when Vic was ready to make a move? However, Walt was with Donna Sue, and their relationship during Season 5 was like a roller coaster.

Walt has never been the expressive type, and so he might still not acknowledge his feelings for Vic, and then there's her child that might make Walt think against being involved with Vic, so it is really going to be complicated. But since it's going to be the series' finale anyway, might as well give in to fans, and a lot of the series' loyal followers have been waiting for Walt and Vic to end up together.

Baldwin also added that new characters will be introduced who are bound to make the plot for "Longmire" Season 6 more intricate. The premiere episode will be titled "The Eagle and the Osprey," and it will be directed by TJ Scott. Season 6 will have ten episodes, and the premiere date is yet to be announced.
