After the series went on a long hiatus, "Attack on Titan" Season 2 is finally almost out. The upcoming season is set to be released on April 1, but unlike the previous season which was focused on Eren, Mikasa, Armin, and the 104th, this time, Season 2 will highlight Krista and Ymir.

There was a gap of about three to four years in the production process, but that's only because the upcoming season of the anime series is being polished. The new director Masashi Koizuka promised that Season 2 is going to be bigger.

According to ComicBook, "Attack on Titan" Season 2 interviews have been teasing fans about the impending release, but the recent one with Koizuka tells us the characters that be highlighted in the upcoming season. Koizuka said that Krista and Ymir will really shine in Season 2 and that "they will be in the eye of the storm."

He also said that it won't only be Krista and Ymir but the other members of the corps who didn't get much of the spotlight in the "Attack on Titan" Season 1. Koizuka said they will make things more exciting and contribute to the larger framework of Season 2.

Koizuka said that he has read the current volume of the manga and it surprises him, and the whole story is just shocking, noting that the manga and series are at very different points of the story, but the story is supposed to reach to those later points, and the plot is intricately weaved. He added that he hopes that they don't break those intricate touches.

Droid Reports said that "Attack on Titan" Season 2 would also introduce new Titans and shape-shifters. Another highlight of Season 2 is when Eren Yaeger would acquire new powers. He had previously vowed to destroy every Titan there is, and new skills would help him in his battle for freedom from monsters.
