The spin-off to the longest-running comedy show on television seems to be coming to reality soon. CBS President and CEO Les Moonves has been openly talking about it and he has a title for it, "Little Sheldon."

According to the CBS Head, Sheldon in the spin-off is a 10-year-old boy growing up in the neighbourhood of Texas says Deadline. He lives with a very conservative family, not knowing what to do with their genius son. Moonves said that it is a terrific script for a terrific boy.

The focus will be on how Sheldon grew up, whose influence has manifested in his personality. Jim Parsons was once quoted saying that it is going to be interesting seeing a life unfold that turned out to be the great physicist Dr. Sheldon Cooper. He is an executive producer for the show with Chuck Lorre and show runner Steve Molaro.

The star of the prequel is "Big Little Lies" actor Iain Armitage. Moonves further informed that they are now working on the two-year renewal of the original show. It will be a total of 48 episodes as per Fuse.

 "The Big Bang Theory" season 10 premiered in September. It has since gathered awards not just for the show but for the actors also. Aside from Jim Parsons, the television also includes Kaley Cuoco, Johnny Galecki, Nayyar Kunal, Simon Helberg, Mayim Bialik and Melissa Rauch.

The show boasts of paying its major actors $1million per episode. Lately, the stars that have been together for long and feel like family, made a generous contribution for the salary raise of two cast members. Bialik and Rauch each receive $200,000 per episode.

The major stars each offered to have a salary cut to be able the two minor actors to have higher salaries. After the cuts, each will take home $450,000. Stay tuned for updates on "The Big Bang Theory" spin-off "Little Sheldon."
