After ten years of showing us his ninja way, Naruto will be retiring from the spotlight to give way to his son, Boruto in his own spin-off series titled "Boruto: Naruto Next Generation". "Naruto Shippuden" is on its final stretch and is scheduled to end this March.

The spin-off series will shift its focus to Uzumaki Boruto and his adventures on becoming a great ninja. As the premiere date of the highly-anticipated sequel draws nearer and nearer, more information is released.

According to Anime News Network, the 15th issue of Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from Shueisha revealed the artists that will provide the opening and ending songs for the upcoming anime. KANA-BOON have already provided the extraordinary talent in the franchise and will be returning for the opening song titled "Baton Road". They are the ones responsible for the upbeat opening of "Shippuden" titled "Silhouette" and the theme song for "Boruto:Naruto Movie" titled "Drive".

As for the ending song, the all-girl trio pop-rock band called The Peggies took charge of it with the song titled "Dreamy Journey" as reported by Comic Book. This will be the first time for the group to make a Naruto related release where their latest single was released in October last year.

"Boruto: Naruto Next Generation" will make its way to TV screens on April 5, 2017 featuring all-new and original story from Ukyō Kodachi and illustrated by Mikio Ikemoto. The story will revolve around Boruto's life at the ninja academy and the missions as a genin in a changing and modernized ninja village. He will experience the same prejudice his father has endured, however, this time is not because he is a monster outcast but as the son of the seventh Hokage.

The series will also see the return of the "Shippuden" staffs starting with Noriyuki Abe to take the seat as the chief director. "Boruto" movie director Hiroyuki Yamashita will serve as the director at Studio Pierrot while Ukyo Kodachi will be supervising the story.
