The upcoming episode of "NCIS" will bring its cast back to the past. Season 14 episode 18 preview teases that Gibbs and the rest of the team would have to retrace their steps, and the plot would be emotional and powerful.

For episode 17, we get to see the mystery behind McGee's apartment. Before he moved in, the apartment was actually owned by a felon who had very valuable stuff stashed that somebody else wanted to steal. McGee's apartment had some diamonds hidden in it.

Episodes prior to episode 17 focused on Bishop, the last one on McGee, and the upcoming episode will focus on another cast. The recent promo teased that the character of Wilmer Valderrama's Nick Torres will be put to the test. Mark Harmon's Gibbs will have his fair share, too.

The "NCIS" Season 14 episode 18 teaser says that Gibbs is going to reopen a case, and it will bring back very bad reminders, especially for Torres, Blasting News said. The upcoming episode is titled "M.I.A." and the team is going to fulfill a dying sailor's wish. The title does not give so much away, and so does the synopsis.

According to Cartermatt, the official synopsis of "NCIS" Season 14 episode 18 says that the team will reinvestigate a murder case which was originally ruled as an accidental death. This came after a dying sailor guy wished for the case to be reopened.

Now, this will come as an extension of the last storyline as Torres is reminded of a very tragic past in his life. Will he be able to pull it together to help solve the new case, or will he be sent to a shrink instead? "NCIS" Season 14 episode 18 is written by Jennifer Corbett, and directed by Tom Wright and will air on March 14.
