Green Arrow is one of the most important characters in the DC universe and the fans are super delighted when the "Arrow" TV series adaptation kicked off back in 2012 in the CW. The series is currently on Season 5 and the show is reliving the past even before the events of Season 1. The show makers are now planning to explain all the events that happened during and before Oliver Queen's disappearance in Lian-Yu.

With the current path that the show is taking, fans will about to see the exact events before the series started off where Oliver free runs across an island to light a signal fire to get rescued. It was revealed that the "stranded for five years on the island" is actually a misleading statement. Oliver Queen's 5 years of disappearance was not entirely spent in Lian-Yu and he has actually traveled to Hong Kong, Russia and even back home in Starling City.

The storytelling may seem a failure and aimless to fans but lead actor Stephen Amell claimed the flashback will strengthen the future events in the series. He also admitted that the Season 5 flashbacks are not planned and the idea just came up as the story goes. "We don't necessarily know that stuff, and that's just the nature of episodic television in 23 episodes a year," said Amell.

According to Fansided, latest Season has introduced many new faces in the series like Prometheus, Tobias Church, Ragman and Wild Dog. Another newcomer was introduce named Vigilante who doesn't go well with Oliver and Team Arrow. In the upcoming episode titled 'Fighting Fire with Fire', the team will put an effort to stop this rampaging outlaw once and for all.

Regarding the Season 5 finale, "Arrow" executive producer, Marc Guggenheim teased that Oliver Queen will be returning Lian-Yu as reported by Entertainment Weekly. He also mentioned that the hooded vigilante will go to the island by boat or by plane and that he will not be coming back alone.
