Blunders are bound to happen as no one is perfect. When Warren Beatty erroneously called out the winner for Oscars 2017 Best Picture, Steve Harvey felt that his experience in 2015 came back to life.

Harvey inadvertently called Miss Colombia as the Miss Universe 2015 winner instead of Pia Wurtzbach of the Philippines. The incident has been traumatic for the host because until recently, the memory of the snafu still haunts him.

He hosted this year's Miss Universe beauty pageant in Manila, Philippines. As expected, his blunder was recalled but this time, the impact is not that worse.

When the 79-year-old actor's mistake was noticed, the rightful winner was called out and the veteran actor apologized. Good thing, Jimmy Kimmel made fun of it to lessen the tension according to E! News.

He said, "Guys, this is very unfortunate, what happened." He joked, "Personally, I blame Steve Harvey for this."

The Rules Don't Apply actor and Faye Dunaway were the presenters for the Best Picture. Beatty alleged that he was given the wrong envelope where the name of Emma Stone was printed. So his co-presenter Dunaway called out "La La Land" instead of "Moonlight." It was noticed that both of them looked at each other when they saw the envelope's content.

Steve Harvey talked about the incident on his morning show. He compared the two incidents and he admitted that they were almost similar. He revealed Miss Colombia was standing on stage for four minutes while the crowed was cheering her. Then Harvey interrupted and admitted that he made a mistake.

The "La La Land" team was in the middle of the acceptance speech when an accountant from the PricewaterhouseCoopers declared that they made a mistake in giving the envelope. Then the "Moonlight" team took over the stage. The accounting firm apologized to Beatty, Dunaway, to the audience and to the two films groups and took responsibility for the mistake according to Pitchfork.

Harvey advised Beatty to call him and he will tell him how to handle the situation with grace and dignity. When he realized that his snafu was no longer the most awkward act on television, he quoted Martin Luther King. He said, "Free at last, free at last, Thank God almighty, I'm free at last.' It ain't just me!"
