HBO just aired episode 2 of "Big Little Lies" and we see how the mothers are adjusting to the things around them. The viewers see more of the relationship that Celeste (Nicole Kidman) has with her husband, and Madeline (Reese Witherspoon) reveals how much she loves a good grudge.

Entertainment Weekly recaps the latest episode of the series, saying that Madeline tends to make a big deal out of small things. She flies into a rage when she finds out that the director of the play she wants to put up wants to back down due to the controversy.

She's also still at war with Renata when she discovers that everyone in the class hot an invitation except for Ziggy, Jane's (Shailene Woodley) son. She tells the former that her daughter will not be attending the party. But her anger went at its peak when she finds out that Bonnie (Zoe Kravitz), her ex-husband's new wife, took her teenage daughter to Planned Parenthood.

Meanwhile, Jane's problem worsens when Ziggy tries to kiss Amabella in class to try and make up for the issue, and now he is being accused of sexual assault. She's clearly losing it, breaking down at the school after being called to a meeting with the teacher.

Celeste's story continues to dive into the darker side of her marriage. Her husband Perry switches from caring lover to a monster in an instant. Their fights turn physical but escalate to violent sex soon after.

The question now is if any of these three actually committed the murder in episode 1 of "Big Little Lies?" Celeste might have been driven to a breaking point leading her to snap. Or it could be Madeline, who tends to hold a grudge, and last but not the least, Jane, who showed that she had violent tendencies when she channeled her rage by stabbing a knife into a cutting board. TV Line comments that out of the three mothers, it seems Jane is the one on the verge of committing the act.
