A British Airways flight had to make a forced landing because of two drunk women. ABC News reported that the airplane had to land in Lyon, France, when it was supposed to head all the way to Tunis from London's Gatwick Airport.

The forced landing was due to "the continued disruptive behavior of two female passengers," said British Airways to ABC News.

The Daily Mail reported that the women were aged 50 and 43. The Sun, a British tabloid, reported that the two women were drinking Malibu rum on the plane and swore at children. They then threatened a family of a flight attendant and tried to go into the cockpit and hid in the lavatory to smoke.

"They decided they were going to meet the captain and marched towards the cockpit. It was very frightening," The Sun quoted a passenger.

"Our customers and flying crew deserve a safe and enjoyable flight experience. We do not tolerate any disruptive behavior onboard our flights." An airline spokesperson said to ABC News, "They were handed over to the custody of the French police and detained upon arrival in Lyon."

The Daily Mail reported that they were put into cells for the night then put on a return flight the next day.

British Airways is reportedly currently deciding whether the women should be banned from the airline for life.

Debaucherous behaviour on planes is not a stretch by any means. In September, The Daily Mail reported that a drunk male model had to be restrained with belts for three hours, after he wrestled with passengers.
